TabRack

How to use TabRack.

A two-minute tour. Everything below is on your device and needs no account — the built-in AI, account sync, and Pro are optional and opt-in.

1. Install & open

Pin the toolbar icon

Click the puzzle-piece in Chrome and pin TabRack. Click the icon (or press Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + K) to open the popup.

Open the full Manager

The popup's Manager button (or Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + E) opens the full workspace with every view and tool.

2. Triage inactive tabs

The popup lists tabs that have been idle past your threshold, oldest first. Close them one at a time or in a batch — there's always an undo. Pinned tabs, audible tabs, and any domains on your allow-list are never touched.

Optional modes (all off by default): a periodic reminder, auto-close with a 60-second undo, auto-sort by recent use, and duplicate-tab detection. Turn them on under Settings.

3. Organize with folders

4. Sessions, archive & tab sleep

5. Focus mode & the site blocker

Add distracting domains under Settings, then flip Focus mode (the 🎯 in the popup) to stash them until you're done. The scheduled site blocker can keep listed sites closed during set hours.

6. Notes & screen time

Jot a note on any page — it's waiting next time you open the popup there. Turn on screen time for per-site totals for today, all stored locally.

7. Built-in AI (opt-in)

Create a free account to turn on AI. Then type natural-language commands like "close youtube tabs", "group my shopping tabs", or "add youtube to focus mode", and ask follow-up questions about the page you're on. Clear commands run instantly on-device without using any tokens.

8. Account, sync & Pro

A free account unlocks AI and can sync your settings, sessions, notes, and folders across devices. Pro is a one-time, non-recurring purchase that raises your monthly AI token allowance and unlocks unlimited sync — see Pricing. Need more tokens now? Buy an additive top-up. Questions? Contact us.
